(Savannah Summer Programs 2024) Georgia Tech Savannah offers STEM exploration for teens

Summer 2024 STEM Programs for High School Students @ Georgia Tech Savannah

Rising 8th -12th graders have many opportunities this summer on the Georgia Tech Savannah campus that will help them explore STEAM programming!

Multiple options coming up on Georgia Tech Savannah campus throughout the summer include:

· Murder Mystery – Theater and Science combine to create this week-long murder mystery adventure for high school students. Students will learn different acting techniques and the science that goes into crime scene investigation including forensics and interrogation techniques. (June 3rd-7th)
· Story of You – Students plan for the future while simultaneously building their resumes and learning what life after high school holds. Participants will get a head start in planning for the future, help applying to college, practicing interviews, learning how to present your skill set to different audiences, discussing leadership and STEM communication, and Q&As with current college students. (June 10th – 14th)
· Make It Move It – During this week-long summer program, you will learn about supply chain and logistics, explore how things are made, and how they are transported all over the world. Led by a combination of different business and industry representatives, the program will be taught through projects, industry tours, and games that are sure to be fun for everyone! (June 24th – 28th)
· Energy Unplugged – Participants will learn about the future of energy, how solar panels and batteries can work together to provide energy even when the sun is not shining, obtain insights into electric vehicles and talk to researchers who are making electricity cleaner. (June 24th – 28th)
· IOT & YOU – *2-week program This advanced program is designed for participants looking to take their knowledge of coding both to the next level and off the screen and into the real world. The Internet of Things (IoT) lets you connect, explore, control, and collect data on the world around you. *This program is for students with advanced knowledge of written coding language. (July 8th – 19th)
· Drone Racing – During this week students will learn the coding language behind drone operation. Students will also master the controls for drone flight, learning stability, pitch, and yaw. The weeks ends as students compete against their classmates in drone obstacle racing. (July 22nd – 26th)
