Celebrate Flannery O’Connor’s 99th birthday with an afternoon full of literature, live music, Flannery-inspired-crafts, games, and birthday cake.
This event is held in conjunction with Local Author Day, sponsored by The Book Lady Bookstore.
Forty local and regional authors will be on-hand, and you are invited to stroll around the book tables and meet some wonderful poets, children’s book authors, and fiction and nonfiction writers.
2PM: Participate in improv opera with Moon River Opera
3PM: Dress up as Flannery to compete in a Flannery look-alike contest
3:30PM: Musical promenade by the Sweet Thunder Band
Free and open to the public.
