This year for National Silent Movie Day on Fri. Sept. 29, the Lucas Theatre in Savannah will have a special 100^th anniversary screening of the comedic masterpiece “SAFETY LAST!”

Featuring live musical accompaniment on the Lucas’ recently restored Mighty Wurlitzer organ, this is an event perfect to introduce families to the wonders of silent comedy.

The screening will be @ 7PM Fri. Sept. 29 2023 @ the Lucas Theatre for the Arts, Savannah

The gags and stunts in the film still amaze, and it’s hard to believe were done without special effects.

And with the live organ, it is a fun “step-back-in-time” experience.

Tickets for the screening, part of the Wonders of the Wurlitzer series, are free for SCAD card holders; $10 for students, seniors, and military; $15 for the general public.
