Savannah schools: St. Andrew’s students give back this December

St. Andrew's School Savannah private schools St. Andrew’s School  5th & 6th grade students headed to Target on Victory Drive to shop for children in Chatham County. The gifts will be delivered to The Salvation Army as part of the Angel Tree project.

“Every child should have a gift to open at the holidays,” said Jesse Lazzuri, Head of the St. Andrew’s Middle School.  “This event is a wonderful way to end our first semester at St. Andrew’s.  We are committed to providing meaningful service opportunities here at home.”

The annual tradition takes place on the last day of fall semester. It’s an event that the students & teachers look forward to each year.

Prior to the shopping excursion, students performed chores for friends & family to raise the needed funds. All monies are then collected in anticipation of the big shopping adventure.  Finally, each student shops for one child based on age & interest.
