Portfolio Builder Fall Session: Youth Drawing I
Ages 10-14
4.30-6PM, Thursdays, Sept. 7- Oct. 5, Jepson Center
This class is designed to help upper-elementary and middle school students improve their drawing skills. In Drawing I, students will develop an understanding of foundational drawing, a great class for students to develop their art portfolios. New students welcome! Museum members $100, non-members $125. Analog Photography Basics
Ages 10-14
1-5PM, Nov. 18-19, Jepson Center
Have you ever wondered how analog photography works? In this two-day workshop, you will get an introduction to 35mm film and how to use a darkroom. Students will shoot and develop their own film, as well as make photograms and silver gelatin photographs with enlargers. Museum members $100, non-members $125. Exploring Cyanotype
Ages 10-14
1-5PM, Dec. 15-16, Jepson Center
Cyanotype is a photographic chemistry that dates back to the 1840s and makes beautiful blue-toned images. In the first day of this workshop, students will learn how to coat paper to make it light-sensitive, and create photograms from different objects. Students will also be able to shoot photographs with digital cameras and learn to make large negatives for creating cyanotype photographs. Museum members $100, non-members $125.
