Savannah’s A-Town Get Down is one of the area’s fastest-growing festivals.
Organized by the Alex Townsend Memorial Foundation, it is an interactive art and music festival dedicated to providing access to the arts for Savannah’s youth, inspiring them to discover the confidence and self-esteem that comes with creative self expression.
Since the inaugural festival in 2011, the A-Town Get Down Music & Art Festival celebrates the life of Alex Townsend, affectionately called A-Town, by making the arts more accessible to underserved communities throughout Savannah, the city he loved.
