Grammy Award-winning Gospel legends, Blind Boys of Alabama, headline the 2015 A-Town Get Down Music & Art Festival. The festival includes performances by over 25 live bands and visual artists. In addition to live performances and exhibits, guests can expect an array of family activities, workshops and jam sessions.

Savannah’s A-Town Get Down is one of Savannah’s fastest growing festivals. Organized by the Alex Townsend Memorial Foundation, it is an interactive Art and Music Festival dedicated to providing access to the arts for Savannah’s youth, inspiring them to discover the confidence and self-esteem that comes with creative self expression. Since the inaugural festival in 2011, A-Town Get Down Music & Art Festival celebrates the life of Alex Townsend, affectionately called A-Town, who tragically died in a car accident on Valentine’s Day of 2011. The event is designed to inspire both established and aspiring musicians and artists.
