Each week, you and your child will spend 30 minutes engaging in songs, bounces, games, and music-making classes tailored to her development level. While you giggle, dance, and sing, your baby will be developing early skills vital to healthy brain development.

Your instructor, Rebecca Flaherty, is a classically-trained musician with a master’s degree in voice performance, and Kodály I certification.

Caregivers are required to participate; your child will learn best by watching and imitating your example. Don’t worry: even if you can’t carry a tune in a bucket, you and your child will have a good time. Leave the performance anxiety behind and enjoy singing, dancing, and making music with your child.

Free, lottery-funded Pre-K for 2017-2018 school year

The free, state-funded Pre-K at some Savannah-Chatham public schools is open to all children who are 4 years old on or before Sept. 1 residing in Chatham County.

The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System has 60 Georgia Lottery funded Pre-K classes with additional classes at Coastal Empire Montessori.  See the list of Savannah-Chatham public schools that offer the free Pre-K here.

Pre-K applications for the free, lottery-funded Pre-K programs for 2017-18 at Savannah-Chatham County public schools will be available online here starting Feb. 21 2017 until March 6 2017. Applications & required documents are due March 7 2017. The lottery will be April 4 2017.

The deadline to submit required documents to one of the selected schools is March 7, 2017. Applications cannot be processed without these documents.

This free, state-funded Pre-K is open to all children who are 4 years old on or by Sept. 1. Details here. 

Some Savannah private preschools and childcare facilities also offer the state-funded, free Pre-K program and have different application deadlines. Please contact those facilities for their application deadlines.

The Pooler MOPS will host their free Pooler MOPS Annual School Fair on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, 9:30 AM-12:30PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Pooler.

Participants include preschools, public and private schools, homeschool coops, early intervention, and more.

There will be representatives there to answer your questions and provide information.

Let your friends and family know to come out and learn all about the different educational options available in the Greater Savannah area including Pooler and Rincon.
