Toddler Tuesday Program Fees for 2014:
General: $5 per child $5 per adult
Friends of Oatland Members: $5 per child, up to 2 adults FREE!

Program fee includes program and entrance to Oatland Island Wildlife Center and trails.

Toddler Tuesday Topics 

If you are new to the Savannah area or are a new parent, then you need to check out Toddler Tuesdays, a fun weekly program that celebrates nature @ Oatland Island Wildlife Center, 711 Sandtown Rd. Savannah, GA, 31410.

At Toddler Tuesday, children & their parents/caretakers experience nature through themed activities including live animal encounters, wildlife nature walks, storytelling, songs, interactive finger-play & crafts.

Oatland’s naturalist Michelle Kelly leads these exciting & educational sessions.

TODDLER TUESDAY THEMES

November 11       Land of the Free– There is no better way to celebrate our veterans than with an investigation of the American eagle, our national symbol!  We will soar high and use our eagle feet to learn about what eagle’s eat!

November 18       Awesome Autumn– Cool breeze and falling leaves, now that is something to celebrate. Come to this Toddler Tuesday and learn all about what animals do in the fall to prepare for winter.

November 25       Baby Alligators—Come to TT and learn all about Oatland’s newest little reptiles.  You will sing songs, hear stories and touch the tiniest alligators you may ever see.

December 2         Fantastic Flying Squirrels What is small and fuzzy and is the best stunt performer in the rodent family?  Super Flying Squirrels!  We’ll have a special visitor in class to give us and up close and personal experience about what is so unique about flying squirrels.

December 9         Starry, starry night—Can’t wait up for the stars? We will make them come out for you.  We will go into our inflatable digital planetarium and star show to impress you with the seasonal skies.  We will look at the constellations and learn a story about why they are up in the sky.

December 16       Winter Residents-We will investigate which of our fine feathered friends stick around in the winter.  We will pull out the binoculars and do some peeking at the little birdies and find out what is so sweet about a bird feeder.

December  23      All Aboard the Polar Express! —  It is that time of year again to bring out the Polar Express. We will play train conductor and learn all about polar animals with our pretend train ride to the North Pole, and hey, do you want to build a snowman?

December 30       Run, Run, as Fast as You Can!–What happens when the gingerbread boy escapes at Oatland Island Wildlife Center?  We will learn all about omnivores, carnivores and herbivores and which animals would love a cookie treat and which would not.  All cookie monsters are invited to come to this TT.
