FREE Parking Pass

Live Oak Public Libraries customers with valid library cards can borrow a Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites “Park Pass.” The passes are good for free parking or admission at any of the 63 parks statewide. For more information, click here.

Toddler Time and Lost Prevention

10 AM-11 AM Toddler Time: Bring your 2-4 year old to enjoy stories, games and learning designed just for them! 11 AM Lost Prevention and Preparedness: A park naturalist will talk about how to prevent getting lost and show you simple items to bring along on a hike that could $5 parking.912-598-2300.
Coffee and Fire

8:30 AM Coffee with a Ranger: Start your morning right! Join one of our friendly Park Rangers for coffee and conversation about what’s happening at Skidaway Island State Park. Meet at the Park Office. 3 PM Fire Ecology: Come learn how the destructive power of fire is essential in keeping Georgia’s pine forest ecosystems healthy. $5 parking. 912-598-2300.
Birds Sloths and Pokemon

Saturday, Aug 27, 2016 11 AM to 5 PM
August 27:11 AM Morning Bird Watch:A guided bird watch at our bird feeders. 2 PM Mystery of the Giant Ground Sloth: Come learn all about the Giant Ground Sloth. August 28: 11 AM Reptile Breakfast Time: Watch as the ranger feeds the reptiles. 2-4 PM Pokemon Adventures: We will to be setting up Lures here in the park for Pokemon enthusiasts. $5 parking. 912-598-2300.
Lichen & Fungi Program

3 PM Lichen & Fungi Program: Explore another one of nature’s fascinating kingdoms as we delve into the world of fungi and lichen. Learn about the different types and which are most common to us here along the Georgia Coast. $5 parking. 912-598-2300.

 

Family Food Truck Fun Festival
