(Savannah schools) Fine-free borrowing from Live Oak Public Libraries for SCCPSS students with PLAY cards
Saturday, February 1st, 2025
Savannah Chatham public schools Pre-K through 2nd grade students now have their very own PLAY cards thanks to the READ UNITED initiative – a positive program that provides children with fines-free borrowing and access to digital materials, helping improve literacy.
United Way of the Coastal Empire, SCCPSS, and Live Oak Public Libraries are teaming up to promote the use of Live Oak Public Libraries PLAY Cards to utilize library resources.
Donato’s Pizza is sponsoring a pizza party for the grade with the MOST CHECKOUTS in February 2025.
Learn more here.
United Way of the Coastal Empire provides roundtrip Lyft passes (up to $26 each way) through the Ride United Transportation Access program to help families get to the library. To request a ride pass, ask your student’s teacher for details.
Along with books, the PLAY Card provides free or discounted access to:
State Parks & Museums
