(Savannah Summer Camps 2019) Camp Moon River @ Savannah Country Day School

Wednesday, April 3rd, 2019

Camp Moon River Savannah Country Day School

Camp Moon River (CMR) at Savannah Country Day School : an overnight experience in a day camp package.

Camp Moon River is a full-day, traditional-style, summer day camp with an “overnight feel” for rising Kindergarten – 8th-grade children with a half-day program offered to rising Pre Kindergarten students who are 4-years old before their first day of camp. Optional extended care available.

Register online here.

Camp Moon River’s mission is to provide a meaningful summer camp experience for campers and staff filled with personal growth, relationship building, and fun.

CMR is on the campus of the beautiful 65-acre Savannah Country Day School and is open to children from all schools.

The camp features daily water slides, weekly tie-dye and campfire experiences, as well as an incredible staff, the “CMR Crew.”

On Mondays, campers select a weekly choice they will attend every day, and each day they get to pick their daily choice. Daily and weekly choices allow campers to try new things or stick with their favorites as they progress through their CMR experience. Camp offers a variety of sports and games, arts and crafts, drama, cooking, dance and more. CMR also features Moon River field trips and Moon River Madness, an all-camp competition.

CMR is intentionally device-free. Even on a rainy day, you won’t see campers watching movies. Instead, campers play gym games, do an all-camp Pictionary or Charades competition, break out fantastic and creative building materials, chat and make friendship bracelets–the list is endless. The digital age is here to stay, but at CMR time is spent focusing on “IRL” connection.

Campers can attend one week or all eight weeks of Camp Moon River.

Find more information about Camp Moon River at Savannah Country Day School here.

Enrollment is now open for STEAM Camp, Savannah’s only all-day STEM summer camp taught by actual engineers and technologists.

At this hands-on STEM summer camp, your campers won’t just learn science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. They’ll make it, create it, and build it themselves.

Join STEAM Camp @ Jolly Goblin Games in Savannah this summer for their 5th year in a row. They offer early drop-off, late pick-up, and even lunch at The Chromatic Dragon next door. Perfect for rising 4th-9th grade students.

Register online here.
