Artful Afternoon (Wednesday from 1-4pm) – Sept. 10 and Oct. 8

Calling all homeschooling families! Amplify your student’s artist journey with an enriching workshop at the SCAD Museum of Art. In this immersive experience, education and creativity collide to offer a field study for homeschooled students.

This event presents a unique opportunity for your students to acclimate into the art world as observers and creators. While they feed their creative minds among the exhibitions, they’ll meet other students and foster lasting community connections.

All ages are welcome. Students under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. This event is free and open to the public.

Mini Masters (Monday 11am-12pm) – Sept. 15 and Oct. 20

Calling all little creatives! Embark on a journey of artistic expression, discovery, and exploration with SCAD MOA educators. Join us every third Monday for imaginative activities designed especially for children and inspired by our latest exhibitions. While enjoying art projects, gallery visits, and snack time, your budding geniuses (and you) can form new friendships.

Mini Masters Monday is programmed for children ages 1–4. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Admission is $5 per child. Mini Masters memberships are also available to families at $25 for 12 months (a savings of $45) and include complimentary admission to Mini Masters Mondays in addition to individual museum membership benefits.

Savannah Arts Academy presents 2025 College Admissions Fair for students of the arts

Savannah Arts Academy College Admissions Fair for students of the arts is Saturday, Sept. 20th, 1-3pm @ Savannah Arts Academy cafeteria, 500 Washington Ave., Savannah, 31405.

This year organizers are partnering with the National Portfolio Association to host individual reviews for visual art students at the SAME LOCATION.

Showcase your artistic evolution. Visit with counselors, admissions team members, and faculty from art and design schools for a portfolio review before applying to colleges or universities.

This annual fall favorite free event for all ages – Skidaway Marine Science Day – will be Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10am-3pm on the UGA Skidaway Marine Science campus, located on the north end of Skidaway Island, Savannah.
