(Savannah Fall Festivals 2022) The Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival, Richmond Hill

The Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival, Oct. 14-16, 2022 @ J.F. Gregory Park in Richmond Hill.

Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival 2022 in Richmond Hill just outside of Savannah features live music, amusement rides, arts & crafts, and seafood.

Headlining the event is country hitmaker John Michael Montgomery, with “Strawberry Wine” songstress Deana Carter as direct support. Up-and- coming artists Warren Zeiders and Maggie Baugh,
will kick off the evening.

Saturday ticket prices vary for different age groups. Admission is free for children five and younger
until 5PM tickets for attendees ages six through 15 cost $18 and are $20 for ages 16 and
older. Tickets purchased at the gate after 5PM are $35 for all ages.

Free, outdoor family movies series, Savannah

Plant Riverside District in Savannah to debut free, family-friendly Movies in the Park Series beginning Sun. July 31

Plant Riverside District will host a new Movies in the Park series, featuring free weekly showings of popular family-friendly movies on a giant LED screen in Plant Riverside District’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Park. The Movies in the Park series is free and open to the public.

Every Sunday from July 31 through Sept. 4 2022, a feature film will begin playing at 7PM (please note the near earlier start time) in Plant Riverside District’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Park. Lawn chair seating will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Popcorn, snow cones, hot pretzels, ice cream as well as refreshing beverages, including fresh-squeezed lemonade and freshly brewed iced tea, will be available for purchase.

Plant Riverside District’s Movies in the Park series will offer screenings of the following films:

THE GOONIES (Rated PG, 1985)

Sun. Aug. 7 — 7PM

This iconic Steven Spielberg film follows a group of kids, who call themselves the Goonies, as they discover an ancient map that leads to hair-raising adventures. Secret caves, hidden clues and treacherous traps stand between the Goonies and a pirate’s lost treasure.

THE GREATEST SHOWMAN (Rated PG, 2017)

Inspired by the true story of P.T. E.T. THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL (Rated PG, 1982)

One of Disney and Pixar’s best-loved animated films, Toy Story steps inside Andy’s room, where his toys are alive and struggling with their differing opinions about the new Buzz Lightyear toy, voiced by Tim Allen. Once a month, Telfair Museums’ youngest patrons are invited to the Jepson Center for story time, a special tour, and an art activity. Strollers, crying babies, toddlers, and older siblings are all welcome here.

Explore this year’s PULSE exhibitions and explore technology in art with LED throwies and floaties.

Performing Arts Summer Camp for rising 8th-12th graders, Savannah

On the stage and in the air! The Savannah Cultural Arts Center’s performing art camp for rising 8th-12th graders will take campers to new heights July 5-8th 2022.

Teen actors will spend the week exploring all things theatre, developing skills in improv, script writing, stage production, choreography, and creative movement including an introduction to the aerial arts. The week will end with a mini showcase for friends and family.

This is a 4-day camp following the Fourth of July holiday. $120 ($80 City of Savannah resident rate).
