July 21 theme: Explore Patrick Dougherty’s immersive, site-specific sculpture (pictured) made of tree saplings. Then design your own whimsical creation to enliven our human desire to dream and imagine.

Teen Night, this Thurs. July 21 2022, 4–6PM. Admission is $10. All skill levels are welcome. Materials + boxed dinner provided.

Thurs. July 28 2022: Explore Southern history and vernacular. Watch A Thousand Miles and Counting, a SCAD-produced documentary exploring William and Ellen Craft’s historic journey to freedom. Then discover the revolutionary work of artist Beverly Buchanan, whose experimental “shack” structures explore the relationship between memory — personal, historical, or geographical — and place. Afterward, work with varied and uncommon materials to build your own model dwelling. Learn more here.
