March is full of fun at Oatland Island Wildlife Center.

Lucky Paws: Keeper Talk & Animal Encounter: Saturday, March 14. 11AM, 12PM & 2PM. Details here.

March into the Wild: Paws & Pages: Saturday, March 21, 10AM-2PM: Celebrate National Reading Month where stories step off the page and into nature. Families and students will meet visiting authors, Gina Gallois and Jody Wheeler-Toppen, enjoy live read-alouds of Opossums to the Rescue and A Book to Read with a Worm, and explore how reading helps scientists observe and understand the natural world.

Additional literacy adventures include a shared reading of If Bees Disappeared,paired with a pollinator discovery, and a hands-on camouflage challenge where participants investigate how animals blend into their habitats.

Throughout the trail, guests will read, observe, and investigate — discovering that strong readers become strong scientists. Details here.
