Savannah public schools: Applications available for free, lottery-funded Pre-K for 2023-24

FREE Pre-K programs with Savannah-Chatham Public Schools, Application Process Now Open

Pre-K applications for the 2023-24 school year for Savannah-Chatham public schools are now available. The application process closes on Feb. 24 2023.

When completing the application, be prepared to submit your child’s birth certificate and proof of address in the application.

Parents will be notified of their child’s placement or wait list status by email on March 22, 2023.

To participate in the Pre-K Program for School Year 23-24, children must be four years of age on or before September 1, 2023 and must be a resident of Chatham County. ​

The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System has 65 Georgia Lottery funded Pre-K classes.

The Pre-Kindergarten program provides a full day (6.5 hours) of appropriate instructional services to students for the regular school calendar year. The purpose of the Pre-K Program is school readiness and transition to Kindergarten for success in later school years.
