Fall is the best time for planting in our region. Come to Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens in Savannah either of these two days to browse for plants from an array of nursery vendors or shop for garden-related tools and decor from other local suppliers’ booths outdoors.

Take time to sit in on free garden lectures at the Lakeside Pavilion and take a walk in the gardens before you leave. Parking limited and fee charge per vehicle.

Gardenfest is a celebration of everything garden related.

There will be free gardening seminars with speakers such as Norman Winter, Horticulturist writer and Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens Executive Director; Linda Askey, former writer for Southern Living; Joan Calder, author of the children’s book, “Airplanes in the Garden Monarchs take Flight”; Diana Churchill, local birding columnist; and Chris VanCleave, aka the Redneck Rosarian.

Food will be for sale at the Lakeside pavilion and here will be children’s fun and educational activities on the Great Lawn.
