Imagination Hour at the Sandbox Interactive Children’s Museum

A story time followed by a related arts and crafts or science project. Each month features a fun and unique theme and is geared for children age 5 and under; older siblings and guests are welcome as well. Classes are designed for parents and caregivers to interact and assist their child with each project and they are encouraged to stay and play in the museum following the program.

There is no additional charge for these weekly classes as cost is included in the regular admission or annual membership fee. Learn about a variety of subject matters ranging from nature, recycling, nursery rhymes, health and wellness and basic science principles just to name a few.

Bluffton Library storytime

Storytime for preschoolers ages 3-5 will be held at Bluffton Public Library Mondays at 6:30 PM and Tuesdays at 10 AM this winter/spring. Stories, songs, fingerplays, snacks and other related activities. Each session is approximately 35-40 minutes long. Parents or caregivers must register their child at the circulation desk. Tybee Irish Heritage Celebration Parade

The fun, family-friendly parade will start at 3pm and proceed down Butler Avenue to end on the Strand by the pier.
This Irish Parade began under the guidance of Jimmy and Jay Burke. Since its conception, it has become a Tybee tradition that seems to grow bigger every year. There will be lots of Irish families marching, along with bands, bagpipers, festive floats, the Alee Temple Shriners and straight from the Bahamas Junkanoo legends Barabbas and The Tribe! Good places to catch the parade are Butler Avenue between 6th and 10th Street and 12th Street on down.
Dress in green & join in the fun. Parade starts at City Hall and proceeds down Butler Avenue to Tybrisa Street.

Savannah St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The Parade begins at 10:15 a.m. following celebration of Mass at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist.

The parade begins at the corner of Gwinnett and Abercorn, and makes its way north on Abercorn to Broughton, where it turns east to East Broad Street. The parade turns north on E. Broad and then heads west on Bay, past City Hall, where it takes a left on Bull Street, ending at Harris Street.

The City of Savannah’s guide to St. Patrick’s Day is available at www.savannahga.gov . The guide is for residents, visitors and businesses who plan to participate in the celebration March 17-19. Topics include parking and transportation options, vendor permitting and rules for using the parks and squares on the day of the parade.
