Coastal Pediatrics in Savannah staff had noticed more than usual timid and reluctant faces on their patients recently during visits.
They know it can be intimidating for your little one to have to interact with someone wearing a mask. So they posted photos of their physicians and nurse practitioners with and without their masks and suggested that parents take a moment to share the posted photos with them and let them see some of their favorite masked pediatricians or NPs.

Coastal Pediatrics in Savannah is now offering virtual visits for existing patients in addition to in-person visits.
What is a telemedicine visit?
Telemedicine, or a “virtual visit”, is a consultation with one of Coastal Pediatrics physicians via video conferencing. This option is convenient, allows your child to be seen without coming into the Coastal Pediatrics office, and provides care by your regular pediatrician (who knows your child’s full history and has access to their medical chart).
* Real-time, fully interactive, telemedicine visit with a provider for many healthcare needs or concerns.
* Use your current mobile device, or computer, with a good audio and video connection.
* Call Coastal Pediatrics office as you normally would at 912-353-7744 to schedule an appointment and let them know that you are interested in a telemedicine visit.
Coastal Pediatrics staff believe that well-child visits and immunizations are ESSENTIAL.
As you have come to expect, Coastal Pediatrics continues to be committed to providing the best possible healthcare for their patients and your children. They are taking the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation seriously and would like to provide an update on how their clinics will be addressing your needs.
* Creating an “empty” waiting room (all patients wait in their cars until they are called to be screened and led to their clean exam room)
* Thoroughly cleaning exam rooms between appointments
* Closely monitoring all employees for any symptoms
* Screening patients and anyone accompanying them to their appointment
* All staff wearing appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment)
Well Visits (Pooler only):
Despite the current global health concerns, NOW MORE THAN EVER, Coastal Pediatrics continues to recommend routine well care and immunizations for your children. They are uniquely positioned to offer a safe environment for your children during this COVID-19 pandemic, because it’s what they have always done.
Sick Visits (Savannah only):
Coastal Pediatrics encourages you to make health assessments of your sick children, as you would have done prior to the Coronavirus outbreak. If you have concerns, Coastal Pediatrics encourages you to have them evaluated or use their telemedicine services. In some cases, Coastal Pediatrics will be happy to assess patients in the comfort of your car.
