Things to do in Savannah with kids: National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force, Pooler

National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force, Pooler
On January 28, 1942, just after the attack on Pearl Harbor, the Eighth Air Force began with 7 men and no airplanes in Savannah, GA.
By the end of the war, the Eighth Air Force became the largest air armada in the world, with the goal of crippling Nazi Germany. Just miles from where it was activated, a museum is dedicated to members of the Eighth and the men and women who aided them during the world’s most influential military conflict.
