Next week, October 23-27 in Swainsboro, GA at the beautiful covered outdoor pavilion of the Georgia Sports Arena, the Lindblom family band is hosting the 3rd Annual Headin’ Home Fest!
This is a bluegrass music festival for the whole family, with fantastic music and jamming, top-of-the-line bands from all over the country, camping (RV hookups and tent sites available!), food, fellowship, and good wholesome family fun. There couldn’t be a better way to enjoy the crisp South Georgia fall weather than to celebrate with banjos, fiddles, and guitars! We want YOUR family to join us!
Bluegrass is a style of music that’s all American and all acoustic. It’s a great style to introduce young children to, as they’re naturally fascinated by live musicians. The Lindblom family’s bluegrass band, Headin’ Home, is hosting this festival. We’re so passionate about getting young children interested in music that we’re giving away FREE TICKETS TO CHILDREN UNDER TEN! Youth aged 10-15 are also half price! 🙌

Seek inspiration in the galleries, meet new friends, and begin preparing a portfolio of your work as museum educators offer tutorials to perfect your drawing skills.

Free admission on second Sundays
SCAD MOA welcomes our Savannah community to enjoy free admission on the second Sunday of every month. Residents of Savannah or any of its surrounding counties (Chatham, Bryan, Effingham, Liberty, Beaufort, and Jasper) are invited to visit free of charge. Noon-5PM on these Second Sundays.
Come to SCAD MOA for a docent-led tour presented in American Sign Language. ASL interpreters translate insight and observations for deaf and hearing-impaired audiences.
RSVP at least 48 hours prior to the tour by contacting Hannah Thompson, manager of museum visitation and programming, at hthompso@scad.edu. Sign language interpreters may be requested for all SCAD MOA tours with at least two weeks’ notice.
