The two-day High Cotton Kids sale will be at 6700 Waters Ave., next to Byrd Cookie Company, in the former spot of Carole’s Boutique, March 5 & 6.

The sale features upscale brands of childrens’ clothing as well as shoes, accessories, bedding, art work, baby necessities, toys, maternity clothing and more. New merchandise will be available from local vendors.

    You’ve been meaning to check one out. Now you can. High Cotton Kids is Savannah’s newest seasonal children’s consignment show specializing in gently used boutique and trunk show brand spring and summer clothes.

    Even better. This sale is going to be VERY centrally located in Savannah.

    The two-day High Cotton Kids sale will be at 6700 Waters Ave., next to Byrd Cookie Company, in the former spot of Carole’s Boutique, March 5 & 6.

    Expect to find upscale brands such as Kelly Kids, Chez Ami, Hannah Kate, Just Ducky, Daisies and Doodlebugs, Orient Expressed, Hannah Anderson, Lilly Pulitzer. The sale will also include shoes, accessories, bedding, art work, baby necessities, toys, maternity clothing and more. New merchandise will be available from local vendors.   • Coastal Kids Market will donate a portion of this season’s sale to Haiti relief through the Presbyterian Mission in Haiti. This ministry aids orphans by providing hot meals, school uniforms, school supplies, and meeting other basic needs.

    Sign up to be a consignor and turn your children’s outgrown items into cash! Learn how to sell your kids clothes by clicking here. Consignors can earn more based on volunteer hours. Consignors earn 60 percent of their item’s selling price, but can earn up to 75 percent based on how many volunteer shifts you work.

    Anyone can volunteer to help, you don’t have to be a consignor. Non-consigning volunteers who work two shifts may shop the preview sale along with the consignors.

    Each wins a Friday ticket to The 62nd annual Junior League of Savannah Thrift Sale. The sale is 10 AM-2 PM Fri., Oct. 2 and 10 AM-3 PM Sat. Oct 3 at the Savannah Civic Center.

    Admission to the sale $5 on Friday and $3 on Saturday. Items sold on Saturday are half-price. Parking is free.

    Merchandise include appliances, children’s clothes and toys, holiday decorations, books, CDs, housewares, linens, exercise equipment and furniture. In addition, a limited number of tickets are being sold to the community for the Preview Party and Auction on Thurs. Oct. 1 at 5:30 pm. Guests have the opportunity to shop before the sale opens to the public. Cost is $35 and includes hors d’oeuvres. Items are sold at twice the price.

    Throughout the two day sale, the League raises thousands of dollars, all of which is returned to the community through various League projects. League sponsors are Publix Super Markets Charities, Levy Jewelers and SunTrust.

    Interested in turning your child’s hardly-worn outgrown items into cash? Consignors are still being registered and will receive
    70 percent of items’ selling price!
     A new computer system with barcoded tags makes organizing and tagging your items super easy. Sellers will be able to track their sales online each day of the sale. This sale is in a bigger space than last spring, so there’s more room for vendors.

    Anyone with a home-based business that targets kids or moms is welcome to apply. Also, anyone who would like to advertise in the market’s goody bags should contact Coastal Kids via their web site here. This season there are new incentives for sellers and volunteers.

    The first 150 shoppers at the sale will receive a “goody bag” filled with coupons and discounts from many local businesses such as children’s boutiques, a dance studio, a children’s photographer, party venues, home-based businesses and more.

    A portion of the sale’s proceeds will go to local MOPS groups.
