Join the Savannah Cultural Arts Center on their lawn for an engaging FREE morning session of crafts, stories, and movement for ages 4 to 7!

On Sat. June 19 2021, the topic is tea and will include teacup decorating, a Raku pottery demonstration, and a storytime reading of “Tea Time around the World.”

The fun begins at 10AM Sat. June 19 and will last about an hour. Crafts can be taken home at the end of the session.

Have older kids at home looking for a local volunteer opportunity? The Savannah Cultural Arts Center is looking for Junior Camp Counselors to join them this July!

What are Junior Counselors? Counselors assist with summer art camps in a volunteer capacity. Responsibilities include assisting teachers with projects and staff with logistical tasks such as camper drop off and lunch.

Who? This opportunity is open to ages 14 to 18.

When? Camps run all four weeks in July, daily, 8AM-4PM.

Do I need to be available that whole time? No! Indicate your availability during July on the application form.

This spring break, join the Art Crime Team (A.C.T.) to solve an art mystery!

The Savannah Cultural Arts Center’s engaging spring break camp encourages creative participation, clue spotting, and ends the week with a mystery solved.

Camp is offered virtually and in two sessions tailored to different ages, 5 to 7 and 8 to 11, over spring break (March 29-April 2).

We love this: an 8-week Art Boot Camp for Teens @ the beloved Studio School in Savannah.

This class – which will be Dec. 29 2020-Feb. 15 2021 – is intended to help teens up level their art audition portfolios; however, non portfolio seeking students may join in. Register online here. 

Each week, students will have an assignment that can be either begun and/or refined in class as students will have access to a password protected page created just for them where assignments will be posted before we meet in the virtual classroom.

Students will need to begin some assignments on their own and use class time to refine their art with instructor guidance while other assignments will be started in class and students will refine them on their own time. The instructor will be available for assistance through email contact. If students complete all assignments, they should end up with 8 total art pieces for the full course.
