The Future of Industry and Work
Thursday, March 25 at 5 p.m.
What skills and capacities will organizations and individuals need to succeed in the landscape emerging through the
disruptions and accelerations of the pandemic? Ian Symmonds, strategist and thought leader, will share his predictions
for major shifts in the ways in which industries move forward as a result of the accelerated pace of change and the impact
of these changes for education. This is a unique opportunity to hear from and engage with Ian, whose expertise keeps
his time in high demand by national organizations and conferences. There will also be time for facilitated discussion
following the presentation.

The Future of College
Thursday, April 8 at 5 p.m.
In what ways might shifts in higher education influence education more broadly? What should current and future
applicants consider, know, and plan for? The past year has accelerated change in the landscape of college admissions.
As a result of the pandemic and the national conversations around racial equity, schools have shifted to test-optional
applications and revised evaluation processes for incoming students. While some adjustments are temporary, there may
be long-awaited changes that remain or evolve as an outcome of the pandemic. Join Mrs. Wendy Sutton, an experienced
College Counselor and past admissions professional at the college level, to explore these trends and questions.

The Future of Education
Thursday, April 22 at 5 p.m.
What knowledge, skills, and capacities will be necessary and valuable in the future of industry and work? In preparation
for higher education? The current model for schooling is the legacy of the industrial revolution. With the accelerated
pace of change, and convergence of research in several fields related to education, what are those elements of educational
practice that help us develop our children into strong citizens and agile professionals? We invite you to join Dr. Kelley
Waldron and Mr. Ryan Martin in exploring some predictions for the future of K-12 education. Dr. Waldron has presented
on this topic at national and regional conferences, and currently serves on the SAIS Board of Trustees. Mr. Martin is a
career, independent school leader who has guided change initiatives in several independent school communities.

St. Andrew’s is an independent, International Baccalaureate World School in Savannah inspiring young people age 3 through grade 12.
