Tax-Free Weekend 2018 in South Carolina
No sales tax-free weekend in Georgia for 2018. But just across the bridge, South Carolina will have the annual sales tax holiday weekend Aug. 3 to Aug. 5 this year to help save on your back-to-school. Which will make it worth the trip to hit the Tanger Outlets, Target etc. along US 278 in Bluffton, SC.

South Carolina’s Tax Free Weekend applies to the following items:
Clothing, Accessories, Footwear, School supplies, Computers, Computer equipment & software, Linens, bath towels, shower curtains.
Not exempt: Jewelry, cosmetics, eyewear, furniture and layaway purchases.

No Georgia tax-free weekend
Georgia State lawmakers failed to pass legislation during this year’s Legislative session to provide for any 2018 tax holidays, according to the Georgia Department of Revenue, ending the state’s tax-free weekends.
