Constitution Day Savannah Georgia History

Bring the kids to the Georgia Historical Society Research Center in Savannah for a free Constitution Day event, Mon. Sept. 17 2018, 9AM-6PM.

This event is free & open to the public.

The Research Center will have a variety of unique artifacts on display relating to Colonial Georgia and the U.S. Constitution. These one-of-a-kind materials tell the story of Georgia’s role in the founding of our nation.

The items on display will include the Abraham Baldwin draft copy of Constitution. Abraham Baldwin’s draft copy of the United States Constitution is one of the national treasures of the Georgia Historical Society collection. This document is one of only a few still in existence and includes handwritten margin notes made by Baldwin, one of the Georgia signers of the Constitution of 1787.
