Savannah schools: St. Andrew’s instructor selected as Master Teacher

St Andrews School Savannah Nick Broom, an Upper School math teacher at St. Andrew’s School  in Savannah was recently selected by the Georgia Independent School Association (GISA) as a 2017 Master Teacher. Mr. Broom was one of only twenty-five teachers selected from over 166 GISA member schools.

To be considered for the honor, candidates are required to submit an application as well as a portfolio including three tangible examples of outstanding work related to the classroom and related to sharing and collaborating with other educators. Among other requirements are an unedited video of the candidate’s classroom teaching utilizing best practices and five letters of recommendation.

In November, Mr. Broom was honored at the Annual GISA conference in Atlanta.
