Charter Schools in Savannah-Chatham County
January 2017 is the time to plan for which school you want your child to attend for the 2017-2018 school year. The application process is open for Savannah-Chatham public school choice programs as well as for most Savannah-area charter schools.
Elementary and middle school charter schools in Savannah-Chatham area have a separate application process and different deadlines than Savannah-Chatham County public school choice programs. Contact the charter school of your choice for more detailed information on their application process.

Savannah-Area Charter School Application Deadlines for 2017-2018 School Year
Oglethorpe Charter School (Middle School, 6th-8th grades) Application process is open. The application can be printed from Oglethorpe Charter School Web site or picked up from the school. Deadline: All applications must be hand-delivered to the school by Jan. 17, 2017

The 2017-2018 lottery is Jan. 19, 2017 at 9AM. The lottery results will be posted on Oglethorpe Charter School Web site on Jan. 20, 2017 by noon.

Savannah Classical Academy (Kindergarten-10th grade. Will expand to a K-12 school by 2019.) Application process is open. Apply online here. Deadline: Feb. 16, 2017.

The 2017-2018 lottery is Feb 24 2017. If your child is accepted, you will receive official notification by Friday, March 10. Enrollment registration deadline is Wed. March 31 2017.

Tybee Island Maritime Academy (Kindergarten-5th grade). Application process is open. Apply online here. Deadline: Feb. 10, 2017.
The lottery will be Feb. 13, 2017 at 6:30PM. Notifications of acceptance or wait list status will be done during the week of Feb. 13-17, 2017. Registration deadline for those accepted is March 3, 2017.
