The story of Savannah’s role in the American Revolution comes alive. This hands-on family-friendly experience starts in Savannah History Museum, where you will learn about Savannah at the time of the Revolution, conditions of a soldier in the American militia, and events leading up to the 1779 Battle of Savannah. The program concludes on Battlefield Memorial Park with musket firing demonstrations, while you join in our reenactment of the militia attack on this British fortification.

This special program offers visitors an in-depth understanding of the Revolutionary War in Savannah.

It includes a musket demonstration and a visitor reenactment on Battlefield Memorial Park.

Included with purchase of See 3 Pass and/or admission to Savannah History Museum.

Program is at 10:30AM, 12:30PM, and 2:30PM on Fridays & Saturdays,  Sundays through Oct. 2 2016.

Diesel train rides @ Georgia State Railroad Museum in Savannah on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays during August 2016 & in October & November 2016 starting on Oct. 21 (with the exception of Nov. 11 & 12).

Steam train rides @ Georgia State Railroad Museum in Savannah on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays during September 2016 (including on Mon. Sept. 5 Labor Day) & through Oct. 16 2016. (including on Mon. Oct. 10)

Located at the old Central of Georgia Railway Savannah Shops and Terminal Facilities, Georgia State Railroad Museum is a stunning National Historic Landmark that is part of a National Historic Landmark District.

Enjoy a close-up view of the fully operational turntable, learn about the many historic railcars and rolling stock on display, and experience the handcar with the help of a knowledgeable and friendly historic interpreter.

Check the schedule for train ride dates and times, which rotate between the No. 30 steam locomotive built in 1913, and the ‘modern’ No. 119 diesel locomotive built in 1947.

All Sunday rides at 1PM & 2PM only.

Train rides will be at 11AM, 11:30AM, 1PM & 2PM Friday and Saturday.
