Sat. Sept. 2
Visit with Coastal Heritage Society Resource Educators as we portray the first defenders of Savannah who served where Old Fort Jackson stands during the Revolutionary War! We will portray the Savannah Provincial Company of Artillery in 1777 that served at the Mud Fort.
10AM– Actions of the Georgia Navy in 1775: Watch a cutlass presentation, and then join in with single sticks!
10:30AM – Infantry Presentation & Musket Firing: Join us in a mock Battle Drill with our wooden muskets!
11AM – Georgia in the American Revolution: Historical weapons demonstration (Swivel Gun, 6 Pounder, and 24 Pounder Cannon).
1PM – Infantry Presentation & Musket Firing: Join us in a mock Battle Drill with our wooden muskets!
1:30PM – 6 Pounder Cannon Salute for the Georgia Queen Riverboat.
2PM – Georgia in the American Revolution: Historical weapons demonstration (Swivel Gun, 6 Pounder, and 24 Pounder Cannon).
2:30PM – Visit with Resource Educators as they clean their weapons.
