Juneteenth Free Family Day with Activities, Savannah’s Jepson Center

Juneteenth Free Family Day @ Telfair Museums’ Jepson Center, 1-4PM Sat. June 18

Juneteenth Family Day at the Jepson Center returns with a libation ceremony, drumming and an appearance by the African Spirit at 1PM.

Artist demonstrations include Gullah/Geechee basket making by Gregory Grant and dollmaking by artist Theresa Martin. Storytelling by Jamal Toure, an African dance performance by Kwanzaa Collective 365, and a rousing musical performance by the Bailey Sounding Angels of Joy from the United House of Prayer will continue through 3PM in the Jepson Center’s Neises Auditorium.
