Middle & high school students invited to register for Youth Ocean Conservation Summity (YOCS), Savannah

Youth ocean conservation summit Savannah UGA Marine

UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant will host their eighth Youth Ocean Conservation Summit (YOCS) on Saturday, February 26, 2022.

The theme for this year is “YOUR Connection to the Coast”. The summit will take place in-person at the UGA Marine Education Center and Aquarium on Skidaway Island near Savannah.

YOCS is designed to empower middle and high school students across the country with the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to successfully implement ocean conservation projects in their local communities.

This is a great opportunity for students to develop their interests, gain new skills in environmental literacy, and connect with other students and professionals interested in ocean conservation.

Interested middle school and high school students (grades 6-12) are encouraged to register online here.
