Here are some discounts to help save money for those evacuating to the Atlanta area during Hurricane Dorian.

FREE college football tickets: Georgia State is offering Dorian evacuees free tickets to this Saturday Sept. 7’s football home opener against Furman @ 7PM inside Georgia State Stadium. Free tickets are available to residents of Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina who have been displaced due to mandatory evacuations in anticipation of Hurricane Dorian. Residents who show a valid driver’s license from the specific coastal zip codes that are under a mandatory evacuation will be eligible to take advantage of this offer. Up to four (4) complimentary tickets can be claimed at the Georgia State Stadium Office windows – while supplies last – beginning at 9AM Thurs. Sept. 5 through kickoff on Sat. Sept. 7. FREE Braves ticketsFree Braves tickets to residents of Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas who received mandatory evacuation orders. Two games this week are open to evacuees of Hurricane Dorian:
Tues. Sept. 3 7:20PM, Braves vs. Toronto Blue Jays
Thurs. Sept. 5 7:20PM Braves vs. Washington Nationals
Tickets can be claimed @ SunTrust Park ticket booths, while supplies last, starting at noon on both days. Anyone with a valid ID showing one of the specific coastal zip codes under mandatory evacuation is eligible for the free tickets. One ticket per person with ID. Everyone in the group, including children, must be at the ticket window to claim their ticket. (Children 2 & younger do not need a ticket.) Details here. 

LEGOLAND discount: LEGOLAND Discovery Center Atlanta is offering half off admission to Hurricane Dorian evacuees on Tues. Sept. 3 to Fri. Sept. 6.

$3 Discount at Children’s Museum of Atlanta:  Children’s Museum of Atlanta is offering a $3 discount on admission to Hurricane Dorian evacuees from Florida, Georgia and South Carolina Thurs. Sept. 5 & Fri. Sept. 6. (Museum is closed Wednesday) The attraction hopes to provide those impacted by the storm with an educational escape where children and families can experience the power of play. Guests will also have the opportunity to participate in the highly-interactive exhibit based on Disney Junior’s Peabody Award-winning television series, “Doc McStuffins.” This offer is valid for walk-up guests only with proper identification from an evacuated area.

Discounts @ Georgia State Parks: Georgia’s State Park welcomes evacuees and their pets, including horses at parks with equestrian facilities. All cottages and campsites will allow pets during this time. Pet fees will be waived. Campsites and cottages are available at regular rates, and “dry camping” is free during this emergency event. Chattanooga, Tenn. 

The Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga is offering half-price tickets to the aquarium and the IMAX theater for evacuees from Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas. The offer is available through Friday. Residents will need to present a driver’s license at the ticketing center.
