Nutrition Workshops for Kids @ Savannah Children’s Museum
Join Savannah Children’s Museum starting Valentine’s Day for bi-weekly Sunday nutrition workshops, each focusing on different aspects of a healthy lifestyle.
The program will actively engage children pre-K and up with art, movement, and science, while focusing on nutrition education. The whole family is encouraged to attend and participate.
Naturally Sweet
Sun. Feb. 14 at 12PM and 2PM
Join Jesse Rosenblum, SCM’s resident nutrition expert, to learn about eating the rainbow, fruit as an alternative to candy, and the importance of healthy fats.
5 Senses
Sun. Feb. 28, 12PM and 2PM
Eating isn’t something we do with just our mouths. Every single one of our five senses influences how we eat and the foods we choose most often. Use the five senses while talking about the importance of a varied diet and trying things more than once. All of this along with songs, crafts, movement, story time and takeaways to help you eat healthfully at home.
Be sure to check out SCM’s Calendar for upcoming family nutrition programs.
