Welcome news for Pooler parents: Pooler Pediatric Dentistry is opening soon!
Board Certified Pediatric Dentist Dr. Carla Guzman Stappenbeck will provide comprehensive and specialized dentistry for infants, children and adolescents in a fun, safe, and compassionate environment. Dr. Carla expects to start seeing patients by the end of May.
The office at 120 Towne Center Dr. Suite 500 will serve families in Pooler, Savannah, Rincon, Port Wentworth and the Lowcountry area.
Dr. Carla grew up in Virginia before earning her bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland. She then completed a Certificate of Pediatric Dentistry from the prestigious residency program at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center where she had the opportunity to serve as chief resident. By training at one of the nation’s top children’s hospitals, she gained extensive experience treating special needs and medically compromised patients.

Why choose a pediatric dentist versus a general dentist who treats children?
As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Carla has an extra two years of specialized training (residency) after dental school and is dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teenage years, including those with special health care needs. As a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist, she has voluntarily undergone vigorous written and oral exams, which demonstrate specialized knowledge and skill. In order to maintain her certification, she must complete yearly continuing education requirements to stay up-to-date with developments in both technology and patient care.
Dr. Carla is fluent in both English and Spanish (Se Habla Español).
