Military members & their families receive one year of free admission @ Telfair Museums, Savannah

Free year of admission to Telfair Museums for military families In honor of Veterans Day, Fifth Third Bank (Georgia) is partnering with Telfair Museums in Savannah to offer one year of free admission for military personnel and their families.

The promotion, which begins this Veterans Day Nov. 11, 2014, is available to all retired and active-duty service members as well as those in the Reserves. In addition, Fifth Third Bank is also offering the Job Seeker’s Toolkit – a free, comprehensive online job search training program from national reemployment solutions company NextJob – to all U.S. military and veterans until Dec. 31, 2014.

Upcoming attractions at Telfair Museums include:
· A celebration of art as healing therapy, featuring artwork by local military veterans.
· A screening of an award-winning documentary film, Savannah in the Civil War.
· Several paintings by Winston Churchill in addition to photographs, letters and other personal belongings on loan from his descendants. As part of the exhibit, Telfair will team up with the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force and other partners.
· Exhibits on Andy Warhol and art from the 1990s.
· A major event showcasing the legendary French painter Claude Monet, displayed alongside America’s own Impressionist painters.

Telfair also offers monthly events for infants and preschoolers and has the city’s only indoor, interactive children’s art museum in Savannah. Learn more about Telfair’s regular infant and preschooler programs by clicking here.

Telfair Museums’ sites are open Sunday and Monday from noon to 5 p.m. and Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Regular adult tickets cost $20 for a three-site pass. For more information, visit www.telfair.org.
