St. Patrick's Day kids' events in SavannahBring the kids to the annual Greening of the Fountain @ noon this Friday March 8, 2013 at the fountain in Forsyth Park to kick off the St. Patrick’s festivities in Savannah.

Enjoy this Savannah tradition, as they city gets ready to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Savannah’s big St. Patrick’s Day Parade is at 10:15 AM Sat. March 16 2013 throughout Historic Downtown Savannah. This three-hour parade consists of more than 350 units, included several U.S. military divisions, many award-winning bands and the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales. Some of the bands include the 282nd U.S. Army Band (Fort Jackson, S.C.), Th Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps (Fort Meyers, VA), U.S. Coast Guard Pipes and Drums (Norfolk, VA), Irish Air Corps Pipes and Drums (Dublin, Ireland) and more.

Tybee Island will “go green” with a family-friendly parade in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. The parade will include floats, marchers and musical bands. Families are encouraged to dress in green and celebrate.
