FREE Humane Society Doggie Carnival (bounce houses, face-painting, contests), Savannah

The Humane Society for Greater Savannah will host its 13th Annual Doggie Carnival Sunday, June 2 from noon to 6 pm at Forsyth Park at the Band Shell.

This is a kid-friendly event with bounce castles, cotton candy, popcorn, face painting and fun contests like the Pooch Smooch.

It’s also canine-friendly – so bring your best friend for Doggie Derby races, contests, and doggie ice cream.

Watch Circus Stella and K-9 dog demos; meet Humane Society dogs looking for new homes including an adoptable doggie inmate year anniversary “jail” in the park from the Chatham County Sherriff’s “Operation New Hope” jail pups program.

Other highlights include: food; you can “ask the vet” and get “advice from the behavior specialist”, or commission a portrait by the talented SCAD sketchersl LIVE music; raffle drawings for some fabulous prizes (at only $5 a ticket).

Admission to the carnival is free! Don’t miss this fun-filled event and a Cinco de Mayo fun day, emceed by faithful support from WRHQ’s Paul Sebastian. All proceeds benefit the Humane Society for Greater Savannah.
