Students will study the forms of these significant works of American design and create mixed media works with gold leaf on paper. Finished student drawings will be exhibited in May in the Morrison Community Gallery at the Jepson Center. Performance by Jessica Scott Felder
Saturday, May 4, 2pm Telfair Academy, 121 Barnard St., Savannah

The artist will present a short performance site-specific to the galleries and period rooms of the Telfair Academy. Rather than a seated performance, the audience will follow the artist through the Academy building.. In her performance art, Jessica Scott-Felder becomes a catalyst for altering the social dynamic of a space. Every aspect of her presence is considered important to the work, from the details within the antebellum era clothing (inspired by her drawings of chairs) to the object-filled vessels that are carried during the performance. Her presence silently demands attention through slow and graceful movements. Families are invited to stay for hands on activities after the performance.

Family Activities: Saturday, May 4 1-4pm Telfair Academy, 121 Barnard St. Savannah
