New Savannah mommy and me music classes at Ms Amy’s School of Music
Ms. Amy’s School of Music in Savannah has early childhood music education classes that start the first week of November on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. Ms Amy will be teaching the following mommy and me music classes: 9:00-9:45 (6 – 18 months) 10:00-10:45 (18 months – 3 years) 11:00-11:45 (3 – 5 years). Class descriptions are as follows.
Mommy and Me Music (ages 6 -18 mos.)
This class enhances musical growth in a playful and developmentally appropriate atmosphere. Babies feel, hear, and see different musical instruments while parents and caregivers learn activities and songs to promote their childs musical beginnings.
Mommy and Me Music (ages 18 mos. – 3 years)
A joyful first music experience where children, siblings, and parents will share in a music making program of rhythms, active movement games and singing. A nurturing environment where an energetic connection is drawn between music and imagination. Meet others and learn some fascinating music activities you can re-create at home.
Mommy and Me Music (ages 4 – 5 years)
An artistically conceived flow of songs, nursery rhymes, instrumental jam sessions and movement activities will keep your little music maker involved. This class is designed to support children’s development of competence in tonality and rhythm.
Ms. Amy’s School of Music in Savannah also has openings available for private students. Lesson options are as follows:
Music Discovery Lessons (ages 3 – 5 years)
This is a private half hour lesson for both parent(s) and student to attend. It’s for the parent who wants their child to eventually play piano or guitar. Little fingers are not that strong, so I have designed these lessons to give children the basis needed to begin and instrument at a younger age than normal.
Piano, Beginner Guitar, Voice, Brass, and Woodwind Lessons (ages 3 – 100 years)
This is a private half hour lesson. Every student is different and each lesson is directed, through materials and activities, to meet each student’s needs and goals.
Theory Lessons
These lessons are for the musician who knows how to play already and wants to learn to read music and widen their understanding of music theory.
