Get involved with Urban Hope to help shape the lives of Savannah children
We often hear from readers who want to do community volunteer work but aren’t sure which charity to pick.
Consider volunteering with Urban Hope, a nonprofit organization located here in Savannah, that provides inner city children an alternative to the streets. Urban Hope is a ministry devoted to children and grounded in Christian love.
Urban Hope changes the lives of children and youth, bringing them a sense of hope and future through spiritual and educational development and life management skills. All Urban Hope programs are provided to the participants free of charge and without regard to their religious beliefs.
Urban Hope is currently seeking passionate volunteers for the after school program and the Board of Directors. Also needed: financial contributions or donations for the program as well as corporate sponsors for Urban Hope’s 2011 fundraisers.
