This online program will introduce girls to exciting careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM)! G.I.R.L.S. will conduct various hands-on activities and experiments throughout the week and have an opportunity to learn from female engineers and GT faculty/students.

2021 On-Campus Programs

Artbotics – Rising 3rd-5th Graders
July 12-16 2021
$200 per participant

Interactive Art is the focus of this week of STEAM! Come build, paint, and program your creations to light up, move, and interact with their environments.

Ever used science or math to create an artistic masterpiece? How about coding to write a song? Artbotics is a program designed to bring your creativity to life and have fun along the way! Each participant will create their own unique and interactive piece of artwork using a combination of traditional art mediums, coding, and robotics. The week will be capped off with a gallery showing for family and friends.

IoT and YoU – Rising 6th-12th Graders
July 12-16 2021
$250 per participant

Advance your understanding of coding and electronics by exploring the internet of things and how to design your very own interconnected sensors and devices!

This advanced program is designed for participants looking to take their knowledge of coding both to the next level and off the screen and into the real world. The Internet of Things (IoT) lets you connect, explore, control, and collect data on the world around you. Led by Dr. Russ Clark, a computer science professor at Georgia Tech, this program includes a full week of hands-on projects and a take-home kit to keep the fun going all year long!

Maker Camp – Rising 6th-8th Graders

Make, build, and code your way through the week with a series of hands-on projects.

Maker Camp is a week like no other! Each day will have you working on a different hands-on project that you get to keep and take home for continued fun and learning. Five unique projects over 5 amazing days! Ever build a robot or made wearable electronics? This is your chance to build all that and more.

3D Design – Rising 3rd-8th Graders
July 19-23 2021
$175 per participant

Learn all about 3D design and how to bring your ideas and sketches to life using CAD (computer-aided design) software.

Every product from shoes to cell phones to rockets and everything in-between starts as a sketch that gets turned into a 3D model. 3D design software is at the foundation of what designers and engineers around the world use to create the world around us. No matter what you want to design this program will teach you the fundamental skills to bring it to life!

QUARTERBACK CAMP (JUNE 3-4)
COST: $100
Boys and girls who are rising 3rd-through-8th-grade students are invited to attend. Coach A.J. DeFilippis ’08 will provide individual instruction to help campers with their footwork and passing mechanics. ALL-SPORTS CAMP (JUNE 7-11 & JUNE 14-18)
COST: $125 PER WEEK
Boys and girls age 9 and older are invited to attend. Fundamentals will be stressed in all areas of instruction. Campers can choose to play every sport and rotate to various drills or they can focus on one sport. Sports offered during All-Sports Camp: baseball, basketball, football, lacrosse, soccer, wrestling. ROBOTICS CAMP (JUNE 21-25)

Robotics Camp is geared toward middle school and rising ninth-grade students. Students will spend the time at camp building and programming their Vex robotics kits during the week to culminate in a demonstration at the end of camp.
