Daytrip/Weekend Getaways: 5 Must Do’s with Kids in Columbia, SC

Spring means time for exploring on daytrips or weekend getaways. We’ll start regularly spotlighting our favorite nearby daytrip spots to visit with kids outside of Savannah.

This week’s pick: Columbia, SC because one of our favorite museums – EdVenture – is free for Bank of America cardholders this weekend of March 7 & 8 (and the first full weekend of each month).

Columbia works best as a weekend getaway (meaning an overnight stay) versus a daytrip. While driving back and forth there in one day is doable – it is a lot easier to find an affordable motel and make a weekend of it.
