WHAT CAN WE MAKE? DROP-IN STUDIO
Saturdays through May 16 | 1-4pm

A significant element of Andy Warhol’s silkscreen works was his use of the same image over and over again. The process of reproducing the same image in mass quantities created subtle and sometimes wondrous variations through changes in print quality and accident. Andy Warhol employed a legion of assistants in his studio called “The Factory” to manufacture these works in massive quantities in order to explore the idea of change in what might be considered mundane. Telfair Museums would like to invite you to experiment with Andy Warhol’s exploration of pop culture, experience screen printing and take home your own serial creation.

U-Pick Strawberry & Blueberry Season 2015 @ Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens, Savannah

March 29th, 2015

U-pick strawberry season & limited u-pick blueberry season is underway @ Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens, Savannah.

Picking hours will be Monday-Thursday and Saturday from 9 am to 12 noon (Note there’s no berry picking on Fridays or Sundays).

Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens at the Historic Bamboo Farm offers fresh berry fruits for picking from the fields when in season. The harvest season is heavily weather dependent.

Call 912-921-5460 to learn the status of the field prior to arriving, as poor weather or large crowds may pick the field clean well before the 12 noon scheduled closing. The best time to pick is first thing in the morning at 9 am (as it is cooler, too).

No pets allowed in the fruit picking fields during your harvest. Children must be supervised to prevent plant trampling. You are responsible to pay for all fruits (ripe or unripe) picked during a visit.

More details here.

COST: $2.50 per pound. Containers provided. Bring cash.

The gardens have picnic tables scattered around the grounds if you want to make a picnic out of your strawberry picking.

CGBG does NOT offer a picking service.

Stay updated about u-pick fields status by liking Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens on Facebook here.
