Happy 29th Birthday Brighter Day!
Brighter Day Natural Foods Market in Savannah will celebrate its birthday with a food tasting fair 1-3 pm Nov. 4.
The full-scale natural foods market and deli at 1102 Bull St. at the south end of Forsyth Park turns 29 this year. (Don’t we all?)
Bring the kids to join the party, which will include food tastings, product samples and a children’s activity area where kids can partake in a coloring activity designed to teach where food comes from. Other attractions include visits by live veggie and animal characters, break dancing and live music.
Brighter Day’s long been known as the place to find a variety of products: organic produce and groceries, bulk foods, herbs, body care and vitamin supplements. The store also offers often hard-to-find baby items such as Dr. Bronner’s organic baby castile soap, Rainwater baby shampoo and flusable baby diapers. The independently-owned store also has a much more diverse selection of Organic Baby baby food than the chains. No wonder the place has been around nearly three decades - with many more to come.
