Spend Earth Day on a Savannah bike ride
You’re always saying you’re going to leave your car at home one day a week and bike to work. But it never happens. Here’s your chance to feel a little less guilty.
Participate in the Earth Day Savannah Wheelie, a group bike ride, and bring the kids.
Families are invited to the social bike ride that starts @ 3 pm Sat. April 19 after the Savannah Earth Day festivities in Forsyth Park. The four-mile ride ends with a post party @ Blowin’ Smoke, 514 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard
Savannah Mayor Otis Johnson and County Commission Chairman Pete Liakakis will lead the ride, organized by The Savannah Bicycle Campaign.
The FREE! ride will have a police escort and a slow pace. Kids are welcome to ride or come along in kid seats or trailers. Helmets are highly recommended.
Purchase tickets for the post party by clicking here or at Blowin’ Smoke and Quality Bike Shop. Cost is $5 for members and kids 2-12, $10 for nonmembers.
