“Look what I painted for you today, Mommy!”
She’s so talented. She’s so creative. You little Monet’s drawings have always had a place on your fridge. Now your wee genius’s artistic endeavors can be part of the Savannah Children’s Book Festival Poster Contest.
Live Oak Public Libraries will accept entries for the contest from April 1-30. The theme of the posters should be books, reading or libraries. (Pictured here is one of the winning entries from last year’s contest, by middle school student Amy Rustine)
First, second and third place winners in the following age groups will receive gift cards from local art supply stores: elementary school, middle school, high school, and college students.
Posters must be on letter-sized paper and should not include any wording. For a complete list of poster guidelines, click here.
The poster contest is the first step in a year-long process leading up to the festival, set for Nov. 14 of this year.
For more info about the poster contest, call 912. 652.3605 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Submissions may be dropped off @ any library branch in Chatham, Effingham or Liberty County.
Winners will be posted on the Live Oak Library Web site May 8.
Friends & family will be delighted. Grandparents will ask for copies.
You knew it. Your little one was meant for fame after all.
