Wouldn’t you love to have a kickin’ nickname and hot bod, courtesy of Roller Derby? This week, two SouthernMamas readers will win $25 tickets to the Savannah Derby Devils’ 2009 Roller Girl Boot Camp taking place June 7-12.
The boot camp week offers women ages 18 and older an unconventional kind of fitness program and an outlet for all your mommy stress. Not only do you get to try the fastest-growing, full-contact sport for women, but you also get a moniker like Felonie Melonie. No mad skating skills necessary; just a passion for playing hard.
You never know who’s gonna fall in love with roller derby, says Derby girl “Fear Abby.” A few mamas on the team can’t live without it. And their husbands are so proud to brag about their rollergirl wives.
The boot camp is Sunday through Friday evenings, June 7-12 (Excluding Wednesday) @ Garden City Gym, 160 Wheat Hill Rd. (Off Hwy. 21 behind Groves High School)
