Today we tip our hat to all dads – including those hard working stay-at-home dads, whom are the focus on my Sunday newspaper column this week. Check it out here.
The number of stay-at-home dads is on the rise. In 1995, there were an estimated 64,000 stay-at-home dads. By 2007, the number had risen to more than 159,000.
Would love to hear what SouthernMamas think of this trend. A big thumbs up? Are you thrilled to see dads take more of role in child care? Or have men been conned by women, as author Michael Lewis writes in his new book “Home Game: An Accidental Guide to Fatherhood”, into doing the woman’s part in child rearing?
